Privacy Policy
Seton Collaborative
What the Seton Collaborative website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Seton Collaborative is a shared services ministry of the Diocese of Bridgeport. This policy explains what our website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers setoncollaborative.org and the tools we host there.
1. What you give us
If you fill out a form or send us an email, we receive what you send. Usually that is a name, an email address, a phone number, your parish or school, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you.
2. What is collected automatically
Like most websites, our site records basic technical details of each visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and the date and time. This tells us which pages are useful and which are not.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic. It sets cookies that let us count visits, see which pages get read, and understand the general region a visit came from. It does not tell us who you are.
We have turned off Google Signals and all advertising features. We do not run ads, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share this data with Google's advertising products. Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.
Google processes this data under its own terms. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser add-on.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Ours uses two kinds: the ones needed for pages to load and stay secure, and the Google Analytics cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the analytics cookies will not affect anything you can see or do on this site.
5. How we use information
- Answer questions and requests
- See which pages are working and which are not
- Keep the site running and secure
- Improve the services we offer parishes and schools
That is the whole list.
6. What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not use it for advertising.
7. Who else sees it
The vendors who help us run the site: our hosting provider, our analytics provider, and our email provider. They are permitted to use this information only to provide those services to us.
We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect someone's safety or to protect our legal rights.
8. How long we keep it
Analytics data is deleted after 14 months. Messages you send us are kept as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of the request. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
9. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational steps to protect the information we hold. No website or email system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
10. Links to other sites
We link to parish websites, diocesan pages, and vendor documentation. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Children
This site is built for pastors, business managers, principals, and parish and school staff. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Your requests
Write to helpdesk@setoncollaborative.com and tell us what you want to know, correct, or have deleted. We will respond, and we will not ask you to prove a legal entitlement first.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and we will change the effective date at the top when we do.
